What is the SERU Assessment?
SERU stands for Safety, Equality And Regulatory Understanding. The questions will all be based on the TFL PHV Driver Handbook and will test your understanding of the handbook and all the rules and regulations you must follow whilst you carry out your work as a private hire driver.

Transport for London (TfL) has introduced an assessment of applicants’ safety, equality and regulatory understanding (SERU).
- We are here to train and prepare you before you take the (SERU) assessment.
- We will support you in a FACE to FACE Class Teaching on all the topics of the (SERU) assessment.
- Extra support if English is not your first language

Safety, Equality and Regulatory Understanding (SERU) for London Private Hire Vehicle drivers
To help ensure public safety and will enhance levels of customer service. The TFL has made It essential that London PHV drivers have an appropriate understanding of safety, equality and the regulatory requirements that apply to them. Transport for London (TfL) has introduced an assessment of applicants’ safety, equality and regulatory understanding (SERU).Both New and existing PHV drivers Must take the (SERU) test before they are issued or renew their Licence.
This includes:
a) Drivers’ obligations under the PHV (London) Act 1998 including the associated regulations and relevant obligations including under the Equality Act 2010;
b) Policies and guidance issued by Transport for London (TfL) or other persons which are relevant to London PHV drivers;
c) The particular needs of passengers that arise because a passenger has (ormay have) a protected characteristic under the Equality Act 2010;
d) Protecting children and adults at risk from harm and abuse;
e) Passenger and driver safety;
f) Road and vehicle safety.

OUR CLASSES
One Teacher,Ten Students
3 HOURS EVENING CLASSROOM SESSION From 5 pm to 8 pm
DURATION: 4-6 Weeks
2 Days a week: Every Tuesday and Wednesdays or Every Saturday and Sunday. (Make your choice)
3 Hour training in classroom with a tutor with other students
Private Drive Handbook will be provided in class
Practise Question for all modules of SERU
Practise questions will cover ‘Multiple Choice Questions’ as well as ‘Sentence Completion’ questions
By the end of the course, you will be equipped with all knowledge on how to pass the SERU assessment
One on One Training
3 HOUR 1 to 1 SESSION
(Just you and 1 teacher, personal training with no other student)
DURATION: 4-6 Weeks
2 Days a week: Every Tuesday and Wednesday or Every Saturday and Sunday. (Make your choice)
